When my normal discussion partner in my college education class was gone, I made eye contact with a cute girl across the room, and we spent ten minutes discussing the article we had both read. A few weeks later, we went on our first date and a few months later I knew that she was going to end up as my wife.
Fifteen years later I look back at that first interaction and am so thankful that one interaction in a college class introduced me to the woman who became my wife and best friend.
When I started this journey, I could have written about Rachel on days 1, 2, 3, etc. There is simply so much to be thankful for when thinking about Rachel.
She’s:
👉Kind ❣️
👉An amazing mom 🧒👦👦👦
👉Funny 😂
👉A dreamer ✈️
👉Smart 🧠
👉Creative 🎨
👉The best wife 👩❤️👨
👉A wonderful friend 🫲
👉Deep and Genuine faith in Jesus Christ ✝️
Anyone that knows Rachel understands that she has one of the kindest hearts and gentle demeanors. She is an amazing mom to our kids. She has an amazing laugh and is always ready to share a good pun or joke.
Her imagination is one-of-a-kind and over the course of the last three years with her business, lots of people have gotten to see her personality front and center with any number of the videos she has posted.
She’s intelligent and articulate. Rachel is a creative thinker and prior to her Letter the Lawn business had dreamed up dozens of other business ideas. And she’s a wonderful friend.
Above all, she has a genuine faith that is rooted deeply in the truth of the Bible and her relationship with Jesus Christ. My faith has grown by leaps and bounds because I know Rachel. She is filled with faith and trusts that God’s plan is the best plan.
We’ve been through mountains and valleys over the past fifteen years but there is no other person on the planet that I’d want to go through this life with.
10 An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels.
11 The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain.
12 She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.
13 She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands.
14 She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar.
15 She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household and portions for her maidens.
16 She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.
17 She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong.
18 She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out at night.
19 She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle.
20 She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy.
